The Oberndorf-Sulz vocational schools and the KIPP Group agree on a special kind of strategic co-operation
When outstanding Olympic athletes, vice world champions and multiple German champions organise sports lessons, when curriculum-oriented teaching modules are taken over by companies on their premises in a practice-oriented way, when value-oriented cooperation and successful communication and leadership in everyday business life are made tangible for pupils in a workshop format, we can truly speak of a special kind of cooperation.
This applies with immediate effect for the vocational schools in Oberndorf and Sulz as part of the newly created strategic co-operation with the KIPP Group. Specifically with HEINRICH KIPP WERKfor standard elements in Sulz-Holzhausen and KIPP Car Comfort Systems for automotive elements in Sulz-Kastell. Two from the 6 German companies that make up the KIPP Group, who have over 950 employees at 30 locations in Europe, North America and Asia.
At the company-wide Christian Kipp Academy, the curriculum topics addressed are taught in the company's training rooms - in workshop format using modern methods - instead of in school classrooms. As a partner company of top-level sport, the KIPP Group also employs top Olympic athletes, who go on to organise sports lessons at schools, making them an unforgettable experience.
The Rector Christian Gronauer is delighted with the cooperation programme. "A major and above all unique benefit for our students". Mr Gronauer hopes that this will lead to "increased personal and social skills", among other things. These, in turn, are already the "decisive requirements for employees in companies today", says Karl-Josef Rebmann, responsible for personnel and organisation in the KIPP Group and a member of the company management. "We cannot just demand skills, we have to promote them ourselves - and do so socially at a very early stage," says Mr Rebmann, explaining the reasons behind the KIPP Group's special commitment to the Oberndorf and Sulz schools.
For Nicolas Kipp, who manages the company in the fourth generation together with his father Heinrich Kipp, this newly created cooperation is "built on a very stable foundation", as it reflects an almost complete convergence in the respective values - the guiding principles - of the Oberndorf-Sulz vocational schools and the KIPP Group. "The decisive basis for successful joint co-operation," concludes Mr Kipp.
